@Superslayer,WHAT DOES THIS LINK HAVE TO DO WITH THE SUBJECT AT HAND? FIRST OF ALL, THIS PERSON IS NOT A FREAK. SECOND, THE VAST MAJORITY OF TRANSGENDER IDENTIFIED PEOPLE HAVE NO ACTUAL MEDICAL CONDITION. PHYSICALLY, THEY ARE NO DIFFERENT THAN OTHER PEOPLE. EVERY MAJOR INTERSEX ORGANIZATION (DISORDERS OF SEXUAL DEVELOPMENT) MAKES A DISTICTION BETWEEN DSD AND TRANSGENDER. THE FACT THAT MANY MTFs ARE FATHERS AND SOME FTMs GET PREGNANT IS FURTHER PROOF THAT THEY ARE, INDEED, PHYSICALLY NO DIFFERENT THAN OTHER PEOPLE. THAT IS, UNTIL THEY GET ELECTIVE SURGERY ON THEIR HEALTHY GENITALS.PLEASE STOP TRYING TO COMPARE PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL MEDICAL/GENETIC CONDITIONS WITH TRANSGENDER BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. This poor unfortunate person has a physical deformity, and the females who undergo "top surgery" and take synthetic testosterone are getting their HEALTHY genitals and reproductive systems drastically altered. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. *I don't beleive this article said exactly what medical or genetic condition this person has. *Dirt, since this link from superslayer has nothing to do with the subject at hand, why not delete it.
More brainwashed teenagers...they get younger all the time. These 15 and 16 year old girls ARE BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY THEY ARE. They don't need "T", a synthetic hormone.
anonymous at 7:21it's a joke article from the Onion which is actually rather on point!please stop with the capitalized rants(from a total non-trans-believer)
LOL whoa Anon 7:21, chill out! The article is obviously satire. It highlights society's prejudice against women, and the feelings that these transtrenders above are most likely internalizing!
Hahaha... that's a funny article. The medical condition bust me "female." ;)Big
Easy: a combination of anatomy, physiology, morphology, genotype and phenotype make one the sex that they are. And then which part of the sex you are referencing may or may not be valid depending on its relevance to the situation at hand. Ex]anatomy - valid in medical context and interpersonal context, sometimes valid in social context.physiology - valid in medical context.morphology - valid in medical context and social context.genotype - almost never valid in any context.phenotype - valid in medical context and in social context.
Who knows? Dirt is not a doctor, nor does she claim to be. A lot of people, though, who support her act as if she knows all the facts, research behind chromosomes and the human body. Hell I don't even know what i'm talking about. But there is still a lot of research going on with the human body in general. Just because Dirt says "Trans" doesn't exist doesn't mean that's a proven fact, it is a simple opinion. Same goes vise versa. The thing is though, there is a definition behind "Trans/Transgender"..Transgender is the state of one's gender identity (self-identification as woman, man, neither or both) not matching one's assigned sex (identification by others as male, female or intersex based on physical/genetic sex). Transgender is independent of sexual orientation; transgender people may identify as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, or asexual; some may consider conventional sexual orientation labels inadequate or inapplicable to them. The precise definition for transgender is changing but nevertheless includes:"Of, relating to, or designating a person whose identity does not conform unambiguously to conventional notions of male or female gender roles, but combines or moves between these.""People who were assigned a sex, usually at birth and based on their genitals, but who feel that this is a false or incomplete description of themselves.""Non-identification with, or non-presentation as, the sex (and assumed gender) one was assigned at birth." FTM and MTF are the definition of Transgender.
Aside from all of that, why do you all including Dirt, care so much about what others are doing with their life. It is none of your business. Everyone has the freedom of speech.. to an extent (meaning certain things you say can land you behind bars)For anyone who may be religious, which I am not, isn't is suppose to be God who judges? Many people remain hypercritical in that aspect thinking that because of their religion it is there job to carry out judgement. This may be a bit irrelevant to the post but I say this because of a recent comment I saw on facebook that was very true in my eyes. "they don't know the god I know the god that loves everyone & says leave the judging up to him. I don't judge because so many things idk I'm not god so I can't speak on them."To get back on point once again, why judge and or try to change people to benefit yourself? That may be taken the wrong way but I mean it as..Why tell someone they are not transgender because you don't believe in it? It's not going to change them. Why tell people they shouldn't live that way, that it is wrong? That is your simple opinion, who's place is it to tell someone how they should live their life? Not yours. So what is the point in posting pictures of FTM people who are transitioning? Well hopefully those pictures are not copyrighted because if so, then Dirt is breaking the law. Again, thought, what is the point? In my eyes it's pin pointing out these particular transguys for others to go and tell them that they are wrong for being "Trans".
So while trying to raise awareness and equality for butch women and such, you are pin pointing out transguys as targets to be harassed, bashed and hated upon which could eventually lead to a hate crime. It may not be your intentions but if not then again, what's the point? What does Feminism have to do with Transgender (specifically FTM since that is what this blog is aimed for most the time).?"Feminism is a collection of movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment. A feminist advocates or supports the rights and equality of women."Why does this give feminist the thought that being "Trans" is wrong? It seems the world may never know because how I see it is, worry about the life you are living, not the life others are living. So again, what is the point specifically in Dirt's blog?Personally I think she continues her blog because it brings in more FTM people. The more views, the more money Dirt makes. I could be completely wrong but that is my personally opinion. And until I get an answer to all my "what's the point?" questions, that opinion may not change.I posted on here twice before, about 2 years ago.. I made some very valid point but then Dirt deleted my comments.I'm curious as to how long this one will be up...
Hello to above does dirt really make money from her blog i didnt know you could make money from a blog ..
Yes you can make money blogging.Does she? I have no idea, but as I said that was my own personal opinion and I could be wrong.
"...you are pin pointing out transguys as targets to be harassed, bashed and hated upon which could eventually lead to a hate crime."I don't see the logic in this claim. These young females are putting all of their personal stories about 'transition' on the internet. And who do you think is looking here for kids to harass bash or hate? Who commits hate crimes against 'transguys' anyway? I don't think the kind of men who are gay bashers (against faggots/'transwomen') give 2 shits about what these (what I'm sure they'd consider) dykes are doing- if anything they fit into their world view of 'they just want to be men anyway.'
My bad, I forgot to state how that was just my view on it. Again, though, if my initial points could be answered then you yourself might have a valid point. As I asked several times in my posts.. If that is not her intentions then why does she continue to constantly talk about how wrong it is to be an "FTM" (to be specific) and go to the extent to put out who is "transitioning" with photos of them?Yes they are putting their personal stories out on the internet for many to see, but a majority of the time their view count comes from many other "FTM" people who help and support. Dirt puts her thoughts out there for the world to see as well, and I've read some pretty nasty comments towards "FTM" from people who support dirt. So who knows who visits Dirts blog. Just because you may not be someone who bashes others even though you don't believe in their lifestyle, doesn't mean that others wont go to that extent. "Who commits hate crimes against 'transguys' anyway? I don't think the kind of men who are gay bashers (against faggots/'transwomen') give 2 shits about what these (what I'm sure they'd consider) dykes are doing- if anything they fit into their world view of 'they just want to be men anyway.'"I would agree that gays and transwomen probably get it worse than some but also who do you think are more likely to target an "FTM"? Most likely a gay basher who has the same views as Dirt and wants to prove gender roles.Do you know how many "FTM" get bullied, beat, raped because of others who have the same views as Dirt? I'm sure to many to count but I don't know how many that would be and neither do you. It is sad honestly as to how much people care and don't care about how others live their life.^ interesting choice of words there don't you think? ^Again, it all goes back to the simple question that has yet to be throughly answered... What is the point?
Dude if ya want the answers to these questions you should look through any of the past posts. Look at dirts facts about transitioning. Your speech is tired, and has been done many times before. Maybe someone else will pander to your lazy whining. But if ya dont wanna wait for that, browse thru the blog homie. dirt you should make a FAQ for these kinds of posts.
superslayer, Maybe you could give me a link cause I've yet to see a legitimate reason as to why Dirt must post pictures of "FTM" people (of all ages) who are transitioning...Oh but sorry if that may come off as if I am lazy and whining.
I don't think that 'FTMs' are raped and/or killed at higher rates than other non-disguised females. Maybe you think the reasons for assaults are different, but it's still BECAUSE THEY ARE WOMEN.
okay. here ya go: http://dirtywhiteboi67.blogspot.com/2013/08/a-feminist-guide-to-all-things-trans.html
To make money with a blog, you need to have ads or talk up a product or link to someone who sells things. I don't see any of that, so I don't think Dirt is making money.
Ok thank you
superslayer,Yup, that is Dirts facts/personal opinions about transitiong. What does that list have to do with her going to the extent of posting pictures of "FTM" people who are transitioning? It seems that most of you want to beat around the bush on actually answering a simple question because you simply don't have an answer. Anonymous 8:56, You have a right to your personal opinions. Anonymous 6:37,Very true, I don't think I've seen ads here either. She probably isn't making money off her blog.
@superslayerWhy do they make so many youtube videos and put them online if they don't want other people to watch them? How can they possibly find the easiest and cheapest ways to get a "T" letter, breast binders, packers, etc. or other advice if they don't have a way to communicate?I went to youtube.com and typed in FTM....About 303,000 resultsApparently, they want to share every little detail about their "transitioning". The special "first shot of "T" is treated like a birthday celebration. Go to youtube and type in "FTM and "first shot of T"..about 342 results Google it..About 13,500 results At youtube, type in FTM and "T letter" 720 hitsGoogle it, About 11,800 results They plaster this all over youtube and the internet and people wonder how dirt, or anyone for that matter, is able to access it.
December 9, 2013 at 11:52 PMgenotype - almost never valid in any context. What does this mean? The genotype refers to the entire set of genes in a cell, an organism, or an individual. Without my genotype, I wouldn't be typing this post.
Oh. Well I believe Dirt posts these links to videos about young girls currently transitioning, in order to show that this topic is still relevant. By putting their faces out there, with their recent stories about transition, Dirt shows how this is a problem that is really happening right now, and the girls falling prey to it are just getting younger and younger
@Satyesu, i answered your question bro. what do ya think about that!!!
@Satyesu:"who do you think are more likely to target an "FTM"? Most likely a gay basher who has the same views as Dirt"You seem confused. A gay basher who held the same views as Dirt would be a strange creature indeed; I'm not even convinced it's a logical possibility. If any "gay bashers" are trawling Dirt's site in search of new victims, I would imagine Dirt herself or any of us who comment here, whatever side we take on any of the issues discussed, would fit their bill pretty well.
I don't usually click on the links to these kids' videos. I don't have the stomach for it. But just this once, to be able to give a more informed response to Satyesu, I did, in the revolting (neo?)sexist jargon of current American sitcoms, “man up” and “grow/strap on a pair” to give me the courage to do so, though my metaphorical gonads actually came in the form of a large glass of wine.Nobody of my age can be angry at these young people themselves. They are mostly younger than my own stepson, and could, if I had got heterosexually busy early enough, be my grandchildren. But the adults, be they doctors, psychologists, social workers or parents, who encourage them to turn their (in many ways perfectly legitimate and useful) fantasies into pseudo-reality DO deserve our condemnation and opposition. What I see in these videos are smart young women who are beginning to perceive the shittiness of being a girl/woman in our society, and are seeking a way out of it. They are the potential strong (not necessarily “butch”) lesbians of tomorrow on whom our community/ies depend. And yes, I did say “our”, because gay males too depend in many ways on the existence and renewal of strong women. (But don't expect widespread gay male gratitude any time soon, gals, surely you've learnt that lesson by now.) So why does Dirt post these links? Maybe to remind us of the urgency of us speaking out against the theft and abuse of what are, in a sense, “our” children.I've tried to be quite analytical in the above, that seemed to be required. But to anyone else who has actually watched those videos, what was your gut, your emotional response? Mine was very often “Oh, my poor baby!”. (Ageist and patronising? Guilty as charged.) I know a blog, in typed words, isn't the best medium for that kind of exchange, so I won't push it. But also, does anyone have links to comparable sites of young MtFs? I don't promise to have the courage to look at them.
