The TRUTH about Testosterone-It has yet to be Approved of by the FDA in treating Gender Dysphoria in Females (Trans men)

Testosterone used for the treatment of transitioning females for the purpose of alleviating Gender Dysphoria has NEVER been approved of by the FDA
Testosterone use in transgender clients is purely off-label!

Why after decades of testosterone being used to transition females with GID/GD, and tens of thousands of trans females on testosterone or going on testosterone, does the FDA continue not approving testosterone for the treatment Gender Dysphoria? What does the FDA know that continues to keep them from approving testosterone to females for the purpose of transition?

What is the Transgender Community's response to this information or lack thereof and their responsibility to females seeking transition?

  1. I didn't know that testosterone, or "T" as it's commonly called, was an off label use in females. This experiment on females has been going on for years, and the FDA says it's not approved for females yet. Jesus H Christ on a crutch. This is freaking unbelievable. There are millions of websites, blogs, youtube videos about "T", and 13 and 14 year old girls say they can't wait to go on "T".

As I understand it, the use of GnRH agonists (puberty suppression) for "gender dysphoric" kids is an off label use too.

There are currently lawsuits over Androgel and testosterone. Google it. Middle aged and aging males who have taken testosterone have had heart attacks and blood clots.

    2. Anonymous September 4, 2015 at 7:04 AM: Feeling a little aggressive this morning, huh? Maybe you should put down the T and back away slowly. Your arguments would be much more persuasive if you actually gave an intelligent argument involving the topic at hand, rather than spewing hate and anger. Try using facts and theory next time rather than simply name-calling. Then someone might actually care what you think. Until then, you just look like a spoiled brat having a temper tantrum.

I'm not on T, you presumptive ogre.

      :)

My anger is coming from the fact you slanderous, hateful, nosey, over-involved bigots can't just live and let live.

Really, this entire blog is disgusting. It's fine to have these beliefs, whatever. But to harass individuals online, especially youth, is low. It's not honorable, it's not informative, it's not positive in ANY way. And these creepy followers of Filth's are extremists, who through their support of this blog, support harassment, and bullying of young people.

It's sick. Have your opinions. Don't STRIVE TO HURT others.

    6. LOL @ "presumptive ogre". Good one. :-) In response to your statement about "live and let live", people are free to take what Dirt says or to leave it, so I see it as a "free speech" thing. She is free to state her side; you are free to state yours. And people are free to believe and act accordingly.

    7. Free speech is fine. Harassing others by stalking them and posting links to their pages is not acceptable. By Dirt's logic, a straight homophobic male could do the same, post pictures of lesbians (taken from their social media sites) and bash on them, post links to their pages and it should be acceptable.

      Delete
  3. Your info is crap, Dirt. Your should change your name to Filth. That's all you seem to spout. You're an uneducated, hateful, obsessive, individual. Your poetry readings on YouTube are pretty hilarious to watch though. Tell me more about your Butch needs. You're allowed to have your feelings and broadcast them on a fucking YouTube channel, but nobody else is?

Here's an idea: you're a cyber bully, you're a terrorist, you're causing harm to these "young women" you claim to care about. You aren't a well person.

Lose the fucking obsession and get a hobby. Maybe take up knitting, go write some more poetry, learn to brew your own beer, or go fly a fucking kite. All good ideas!

Here's a good one - go find a therapist, a good one, one you trust and share with them what you have been doing online.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that session.

And by the way- please tell your followers that when they make cheap jokes and try to be cheeky and clever in their style of hate, that they just make you look like that much more of a raging idiot and unwell bigot.

    1. Anonymous September 4, 2015 at 7:15 AM is likely the same name-calling individual as above. Spitting out hate and accusations but offering no cohesive argument to critically discuss the topic. Here's a suggestion: instead of worrying yourself with what Dirt and her readers think on a topic on which you so obviously disagree, how about doing the research yourself? If you don't believe Dirt's post, how about looking it up yourself to see if T is approved by the FDA for use in this manner? Or simply don't read something you find so troubling. The choice is yours. Either way, attempting to bully someone you are accusing of being a bully is not only ironic, but also unproductive.

    3. I don't have to prove anything to you. The physicians and endocrinologists that so many guys with with are legit, kind people who monitor the health and wellness of their patients. That is the majority experience.

There is no ridiculous conspiracy to use these kids as "guinea pigs", there is no conspiracy to turn ask the lesbians into men.

This entire blog is dedicated to the idea and obsession of feeling threatened by a non-threatening force.

You guys all make fun of trans people, you try to be clever, you try to get jabs in. When we do it to you you cry about it. :)

Dish it out, can't take it?

Really, this is a toxic viewpoint that Lynn is promoting. I'd venture a guess she has quite the mental health "rap sheet". Borderline personality disorder, maybe a narcissistic disorder... This blog is comparable to blogs touting racist propaganda.

    4. Anonymous September 4, 2015 at 10:32 PM: You're right about one thing: it is true that you don't have to prove anything to Dirt or her readers; nor do we want or need your approval. The facts are out there regarding the risks of the use of these hormones and surgeries for anyone who cares to look them up. And there is a very high likelihood that there will be health issues identified at a later date that aren't even known at this point. The fact that Dirt has the guts to stand up to the current transgender propoganda doesn't make her diagnosable. (And I am a psychologist, by the way). Also, I don't see anyone here crying at your insults either. So, good try...but sorry, Dirt and her readers aren't going to go away or dissolve into a puddle of tears because you and others don't approve of us or agree with us.

    5. What's ironic is that most of the trans crowd does "dissolve into a puddle of tears" when others don't agree with them.

    6. You're a terrible psychologist then, to suggest that what she is doing is even remotely healthy. It's harassment. You folks are ignoring that part and jumping on the free as speech bandwagon. Have your ideas, post tons of articles, make videos, hell march into the streets. But stop harassing individuals online. Stop posting links to their profiles. Stop targeting REAL individuals who've done nothing to harm you. THAT is what I find extremely demented. Hiding behind the "they're not private pictures" argument is a cowardly and pathetic attempt to justify an unethical behavior.

  6. Still waiting for some logical discourse. Its like a detention hall in here, the projection some teen girls is absolutely unparalleled, and tireless. Ask any mom. Its completely natural, and forgivable as a stage of growing up, and amusingly typical for the young women posting their protestations about this blog. Complete blinders and lots if mimicry. But very emotionally Heather. The "masculine" thing doesn't come through at all. Sorry trenders but its the truth.
Again completely forgivable and often seen in the way teen girls communicate when upset and afraid.
Free yourself from the limbo of lies you have been led to believe. You don't sound like the "men" of your fantasy image.

    1. I have been thinking this for a long time, even as I myself was going through the insecurity of gender dysphoria and the "options" associated with it.
Seems like most that go through the hormone treatment and surgeries want a veneer of masculinity, but at their core, I can tell that they don't quite grasp honor, responsibility, leadership, straightforwardness--qualities anyone could have regardless of sex, of course, but those most associated with "being a man."
      This blog gives me hope.

  7. Wow its fascinating in a way, how just showing the truth about "T"s off lable status makes the trenders go crazy, and think everyone "hates" them.
No one here hates you, and everyone who reads this blog, calmly with a rational mind can't see where you get that. Is it your rhetoric, or some kind of perception default? 8. Wow. This post is a factual post -- either T is, or is not, approved by the FDA for use with transgender individuals -- a fact easily looked up with a simple search. I'll save you some time: Dirt is correct. It is NOT FDA-approved for that use. Period. Nothing personal. Why the high level of drama from certain commenter(s)? Dirt is just presenting the facts, whether you like them or not.

  9. As I understand it, the GnRH agonists for "gender dysphoric" kids is an off label use too. It's not like they don't know they are sterilizing children with this off label use of a powerful drug. If the GnRH agonists are followed by cross gender hormones, these children are infertile. We are talking about sterilizing children which is usually viewed as a human rights abuse. Some doctors are skipping the puberty suppressing drugs altogether and going straight to cross gender hormones when the kid is 11 or 12 years old. This is sure to sterilize them.

If they would give testosterone to a disabled woman with Down Syndrome who has a history of leukemia, they would give testosterone to anyone. She ended up in the ICU with a pulmonary embolism. I'm not a doctor so I can't say the testosterone was the cause, but there are currently lawsuits over Androgel and other forms of testosterone. If it's happening in males, common sense tells us it could be happening to females who take testosterone.

  10. Great work, Dirt, I'm sure it's very shocking and stuff. So, are you equally concerned about other instances of off-label drug use, for instance with cancer drugs and antidepressants? The fact that 78.9% of children discharged from pediatric hospitals are taking at least 1 off-label medication must really worry, you, right, Dirt? It's nice to know our friendly neighborhood butch is looking out for us all where our doctors will not!

    1. To: Smartass Anonymous Commenter September 9, 2015 at 6:44 PM: As commenters below already noted, your stats are not comparable. Furthermore, check out this quote from a medical expert: "What are the risks? Doctors will often prescribe a drug off label without realizing it is not approved for that use, says G. Caleb Alexander, M.D., an associate professor of epidemiology and medicine at Johns Hopkins University. A 2009 survey by Alexander and colleagues of some 1,200 primary-care physicians and psychiatrists found that many of them thought that some common drug treatments were FDA-approved when in fact they weren’t, and that there was little evidence to support the off-label use of those drugs. 'That’s particularly of concern where drugs may have specific, noteworthy safety concerns,' Alexander says." (From: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/2012/05/off-label-drug-prescribing-what-does-it-mean-for-you/index.htm). Not very comforting, huh?

  11. What medications? Name some examples please.
Lets see how these medications that are off lable for 78.9% correlate in any factor of significance to the gratuitous use of testosterone given to normal healthy female bodies, in a dose that causes profound anomalous changes - secondary sex characteristics of the opposite sex, which trenders covet as magical, and magically believe that THOSE are the only physiological effects that are manifested.

  12. @ Anonymous 8-9-6:44.. My nephew was prescribed with an ointment for chafing under his nose and around his nostrils, that is usually used for wound management, and that qualifies it as off lable.
So you would compare THAT in magnitude to the use of testosterone in females.
    Of course you would.
    GOOGLED FAIL.
    Cause : UTTER INCONGRUITY.

Even transgender sources say that there is an issue with infertility with GnRH agonists and cross gender hormones. It's no secret, and they know what is going on.

Treatment with puberty delaying drugs leads to sterilization if it is followed with the administration of cross sex hormones at 16 years, as the Brill and Pepper handbook on “transgender” children (2008), explains, “the choice to progress from GnRH inhibitors to estrogen without fully experiencing male puberty should be viewed as giving up one’s fertility, and the family and child should be counseled accordingly” (Brill & Pepper, 2008, p. 216). For girls, sterilization is the outcome too, because “eggs do not mature until the body goes through puberty” (Brill & Pepper, 2008, p. 216).

Some doctors are skipping the puberty suppressing drugs and going to cross gender hormones at age 11.

As to Sky, the disabled woman with Down Syndrome, it was her mother who posted the online funding for "top surgery".

    https://www.youcaring.com/sky-379306#.VYxoSE841Ls.facebook

    This is what it says,

"My name is Sky. Most of you know me as Mary’s son. My mom writes this for me, to help with your understanding....

There appears to be a lag in fundraising, while some time has been lost in promoting. Top surgery for Sky will now, very unfortunately, need be postponed a few more months down the road from the August date we had scheduled, as Sky is currently in ICU with a critical medical condition that need first be resolved. This turn of events does allow us more time to gather much needed funds to take care of things for Sky, before coming up near to a new surgery date. Your help is needed now more than ever. Please donate to get us to Sky's top surgery. "

We are supposed to believe that an ointment for rubbing under the nose is the same as females taking testosterone?

    Anonymous September 11, 2015 at 3:47 PM

(1.) Do any of these other off label drugs cause infertility in otherwise health children?

(2.) There are currently several lawsuits involving testosterone and heart attacks, pulmonary embolism, etc. in males taking testosterone. Google it. If this is happening in males taking testosterone, common sense tells us that it could be happening in females who take enough testosterone to grow a beard, etc. I'm not a doctor so I can't say it was testosterone, but Sky the young woman with Down Syndrome was in the ICU with a pulmonary embolism. From posts made by her mother, she was on testosterone. This is a young disabled woman who had leukemia when she was younger. They want to "transition" this young woman with Down Syndrome.

Children and developmentally disabled people with Down Syndrome can't make informed decisions. This is a human rights abuse. Try to cover it up, but the truth will come out.
