Basic Facts/Effects of Transition in Transmen

In lieu of far too many common sense facts about trans females, below is a list of some very basic trans female facts for post transition women.
  • Testosterone does NOT make a female body male.
  • Testosterone does NOT create a prostate in a female body.

  1. Dirt, I generally agree with most of the things you say. However, you lose credibility when you make
broad generalizations without backing them up.

Testosterone will cause breast cancer with prolonged use.

Even respected researchers don't say that it will cause breast cancer. An increased risk doesn't mean that a person will develop cancer.

Here is a link from Susan G. Komen.

    Blood Androgen Levels

Androgens (such as testosterone) are natural hormones. They are important in sexual development in both men and women. In women, androgens are produced in small amounts by the ovaries and the adrenal glands.

Similar to higher blood estrogen levels, higher amounts of androgens in the blood may be linked to an increased risk of breast cancer in women [91].

    http://ww5.komen.org/BreastCancer/BloodAndrogenLevels.html

    http://ww5.komen.org/Table7Bloodandrogenlevelsandbreastcancerrisk.html

Testosterone will cause ovarian/uterine cancer with prolonged use.

PCOS is a concern with long term testosterone use if a female still has her ovaries and uterus.

PCOS and ovarian and endometrial cancers

Some physicians recommend hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus) and oophorectomy (surgical removal of the ovaries) within the first 5 years of starting testosterone therapy. This is because there is some concern that long-term testosterone treatment may cause the ovaries to develop similar symptoms as those seen in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). PCOS has been linked to increased risk of endometrial hyperplasia (a condition that occurs when the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows too much) and thus endometrial cancer, as well as ovarian cancer.

    Testosterone will increase blood pressure.

    Testosterone might increase blood pressure.

Testosterone will increase the risk of heart attacks

Lipid levels can be effected which is one factor in heart disease.

Neither you nor I are physicians. All we can do is look at the research. Common sense tells us that years of taking synthetic hormones has to come with risks.

  2. Testosterone does NOT make a female body male.

    TRUE

Testosterone does NOT create a prostate in a female body.

TRUE. The prostate gland is just one part of the entire male reproductive system. Testosterone will not magically create a male reproductive system.

Testosterone will NOT make breast tissue magically disappear.

    TRUE

Testosterone may or may not enlarge the clitoris.

Long term testosterone use usually enlarges the clitoris by an inch or two. It certainly isn't a penis.

An enlarged clitoris is NOT a miniscule penis.

    TRUE

Testosterone increases some muscle mass, but alone will NOT make you musclebound.

    TRUE

Testosterone will redistribute body fat but will NOT change the essential female/feminine shape.

    This is generally true.

Testosterone will NOT make your ovaries produce sperm.

Only wishful thinking. It's never going to happen.

Testosterone may or may NOT stop your monthly periods indefinitely.

    Unsure about this.

A double Mastectomy will NOT mirror a natural male chest.

I tend to agree with this statement. The scars from double incision mastectomy are usually evident. They might fade after awhile, but they are still there. Unless he has been in some freak accident, males don't naturally have these scars.

"Top surgery" which essentially amounts to elective mastectomies with the surgical trimming down of areolas and nipples usually leaves scars that show that surgery was done. There are different procedures, and the keyhole is supposed to leave no scars. However, it can only be done on females with very small breasts and good skin elasticity. Double incision with nipple and areola grafting is rather ghastly. Loss of sensation is common, and every once in awhile a nipple graft fails. A male chest has natural sensation to the nipple area. FTMs post "top surgery" can't always be guaranteed this.

  3. Testosterone will cause some/much hair loss.

    Generally true.

Testosterone will permanently alter the voice.

It it's taken for years, this is true. This could be permanent.

    Testosterone will increase body hair.

    TRUE

Testosterone may cause repeated yeast infections.

Because the pH of the vagina is changed, this could be true.

Testosterone will change the scent of your vagina, something unpleasantly so.

Possibly... this could be due to a yeast infection.

Testosterone will change the scent of your pee.

As strange as it sounds, there have been reports of this occurring. Could be true, but don't know the answer.

Testosterone will change your body odor, unpleasantly so.

    Don't know about this.

Testosterone will cause an increase in acne.

Testosterone might cause an increase in acne. This is true.

    Testosterone will change your brain/thinking/feeling.

This could be true. I don't know how to respond to this statement.

Testosterone does NOT make a female body male

    TRUE

  7. I'm not going to bother responding to most of these however a few are worth mentioning: how a person or their partner responds and treats their body can sure as hell make a guy feel like he's got a penis, a double mastectomy may not exactly mirror other men's chest but it sure bets having breasts one doesn't want, and as far as yeast infections I had one years back when I first started however, just wash your vagina and take care of your body and you won't get them. My partner is a woman and gets them more than I do. and honestly a lot of these are good things that we want - deeper voice, body hair, male hair line (some days I don't but eh), increased muscles. You're not making transition sounds like a bad thing. Take care of your body, eat your vegetables, eat less meat and your cholesterol will be fine (risk of heart attack)

  9. A clitoris is a small penis on a transguy and looks and reacts like one ..do your research..

A penis is an actual organ that is attached to the rest of the male reproductive system. What is a clitoris on a biological female attached to? If it makes this person feel better to think that a clitoris that has been enlarged one inch or two through testosterone use is a "penis", then there is no law against wishful thinking.

No, a clitoris is not a small penis. Even a small penis could conceivably impregnate a woman. FTMs don't produce sperm, and they can't be daddies. Penis and sperm make children. Isn't it strange how nature works? At any rate, if it makes this person feel better to believe that a clitoris is just a small 'penis' on a transman, then indulge in the delusion and fantasy.

While it's true that not all men can be daddies, NO FTM will ever impregnate a woman.

I'm not sure about looking on trans body pride. What is this supposed to prove? If a human is genuinely proud of his or her body, then why would he or she choose extensive plastic surgery on their healthy breasts and genitals? I'm struggling to understand the logic. I'm so proud of my body, but I pay to get my healthy breasts surgically removed and my areolas and nipples trimmed down to size.

Does the logic go like this? In order to feel proud of one's body, it's necessary to inject it with external synthetic chemicals and pay plastic surgeons to alter it.

First of all, I don't see the mutilation of healthy female breasts and genitals as something to celebrate.

Less than a month ago, a woman in Belgium was so distraught after sex reassignment surgery that she actually begged to be euthanized. She wasn't happy with the "top surgery", and she said that the skin lap taken from her arm that was sewn onto her pubic area looked as if necrosis sat in.

I have nothing against adoption. If a biological female who "transitions" adopts, does this individual expect the children to call her "daddy"? It gets very interesting. It reminds of Thomas Beatie, the "pregnant man" FTM who gave birth to three babies AFTER legally changing her sex to male. Apparently, Thomas is the "daddy" of the children she actually gave birth to. It just gets crazier all the time.

Seriously, do people believe testosterone will create a prostate and start ovaries producing sperm?

    I mean, actually believe that?

    @Sarah

It's amazing what people tell themselves. People believe that a skin flap from the arm is a "penis".

  16. Straight woman here -

This is difficult. I think it's great if a couple enjoys their bodies in whatever form they come in. Creativity and love are what really matters.

At the same time, I think it's important for anyone thinking about transitioning to realize that there are some real differences between the genitals men and women are born with and the ones plastic surgeons can create. This is a limitation of biology.

Penises have a urethra in them. They come with foreskins or without them, but they have a glans that looks a certain way. If they are less than three inches long, they are considered to be micropenises. This size can be a problem for many women who enjoy sex with penises.

A phalloplasty creates something that looks like other penises, but it does not work like them. It can not become erect on its own. It does not have the same level of sensation. They do not ejaculate. There are men who have been ill who have to use pumps to make their penises work, but this is not something anyone would choose. It is probably not as satisfying to their partners, although love finds a way.

Plastic surgeons are better at making female genitals that look like other women's genitals. However, there is frequently a loss in sensation. In addition, the vaginas often become too short and further surgery is needed.

One thing that is rarely discussed is that women's genitals are largely hidden inside the body. I don't believe all of the inner structures are recreated by the surgeons.

To me, the loss in sensation is the biggest issue, though. It troubles me to think of someone giving up sexual sensations before they are old enough to have had sex and know what things could feel like.

  17. Just wanted to add - while it may not be a penis, it seems better to me for a transman to keep her enlarged clitoris and think of it as a penis than to have an operation that will give her less sexual pleasure and may not work.

Similarly, it seems better to me for a transwoman to keep her penis and think of it as female rather than have an operation that might leave her unable to orgasm or with reduced sexual feeling.

  18. Um, yeah. We get called Dad, Daddy, Papa, Father and whatever other silly names our kids want to use for us. Seriously, do you live under a rock? We have jobs, careers, families,
lives. There's nothing wrong with being trans or transitioning. Out of all the people I know, no trans people have cancer. But 4 straight people and 3 gays I know have had it in the

I tend to agree, but I don't understand why a healthy female needs synthetic testosterone in the first place.

Similarly, it seems better to me for a transwoman to keep her penis and think of it as female rather than have an operation that might leave her unable to orgasm or with reduced sexual feeling.

I just have to say a few words about this sentence. This is how utterly INSANE transgender and "gender identity" has become. Notice how this person says "her penis". A penis is a MALE organ. If it makes a male feel better to think of his penis as "female", then that is his business. However, when transwomen expect women to go along with the fantasy by demanding access to women's restrooms and locker rooms, I say hell no. The delusion stops here. This is how crazy it has become. NO, WOMEN DON'T HAVE TO GO ALONG WITH THE DELUSIONS OF SELF-ENTITLED MEN.. If he thinks his penis is "female", so be it. Stay the hell out of the women's restroom and locker room.

If a human being is born a biological female, this person is SHE. No amount of testosterone is going to change this. The fact that even some "transmen" (Thomas Beatie) have babies (three of them in fact) is just more proof that they are female, and thus SHE. Males are HE. Some transwomen who "transition" in their thirties were even happily married men who fathered children. They are male, and thus HE.

This politically correct crock of poo has been forced on us, and we just go along with it because we don't want to offend anyone. If everyone suddenly stopped playing along with the fantasy, what could they do about it? We outnumber you.

No one at this blog wants harm to come to anyone. Also, I have no control over how other people feel, or what they do. When there are youtube videos after youtube videos of transgender identified females (FTMs)talking about their first "T" shot, or how to breast bind, they are willingly plastering their faces all over the internet.

It's really impossible to be completely "stealth" these days because too much information is out there. Sometimes they out themselves in the most obvious of ways. For example, Thomas Beatie, had three babies AFTER legally changing her sex to male. She even went on television talk shows to say how special her pregnancy was.

Again, no one at this blog wants any harm to come to anyone. If anything, trans activists have repeatedly threatened women who disagree with them. The woman called Dirtywhiteboi has been told to die in a fire, get raped by a bunch of niggers, etc. (I apologize for this offensive "N" word). These are some of the more pleasant words that were used.

    Who is threatening whom?

    Trigger Warning! Extreme misogyny

"You are such a weak little old hag of a bitch. Get raped by a bunch of niggers you old crow."

"You made this story up you fucking ugly OVER-THE-HILL sagging tits, fat ass ugly repulsive CUNT. You're just jealous that you're OLD AS HELL and can NEVER EVER transition successfully the way us young dudes do! We are the men you can never, ever be. Medical science, nanotechnology and genetic engineering is advancing in ways your tiny female, estrogen-dominant gossipy female brain can NEVER imagine. CUNT. And being 25 I will reap the benefits and you will just be a corpse. You're not even masculine, this shit you're doing here is totally female...gossipy manipulative psychological warfare. Why don't you take your fat, over-sized, child-bearing hips sagging cottage cheese ass back in the kitchen and cook your disgusting wrinkled, obese crew-cut trainwreck you call a "girlfriend" another Swanson dinner you useless OLD HAG. KNOW YOUR PLACE and stop treading on us. Stupid useless cunt. No wonder there is so much misogyny...it's because of bitches like you. Suck a fat one and get AIDS".

Again, no one wants any harm to come to anyone. However, this doesn't stop trans activists from making jokes about bashing in the head of a lesbian with a baseball bat. This actually happened.

Anthony G. Casebeer, Treasurer of C-FAIR, the Fairness Campaign Political Action Committee said this about Women’s Rights Advocate Cathy Brennan:

“Pimp slap is not enough here: a nice home run swing to the head with a 38-oz Louisville Slugger is more in order. There’s no brains in her head to destroy to start with. It’s personal, and if I ever saw her in my windshield, I’ll be wiping blood off my white Buick. But I won’t be using the brakes.”

Thank you for your comments. I'm sure this individual knows that intersex (disorders of sexual development) are NOT the same as transgender. Disorders of sexual development are actual medical conditions that can be diagnosed through genetic or other medical testing. THE VAST MAJORITY OF TRANSGENDER IDENTIFIED PEOPLE DO NO HAVE AN ACTUAL DSD. They are either biological females or biological males. It's basically all in their minds. I have no problem with intersex individual at all.

  30. Wrong.
A clitoris indeed is a miniscule penis, regardless of whether you take T or not. Just like a penis is an enlarged clitoris.

But then again I guess Dirt really is clueless about basic human biology and the development of the fetus. Doesn't surprise me.

  31. Miniscule? Speak for yourself! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  32. a clitoris IS NOT a penis. they do NOT function the same. they don't even have all the same components. it is however compared to a penis. men and women both have breats, both do not have penis's. what you are implying is that testicles and ovaries are also the same.

    ReplyDelete
  33. A clitoris indeed is a miniscule penis, regardless of whether you take T or not. Just like a penis is an enlarged clitoris.

    This is delusional thinking because:

(1.) I've never heard of a clitoris impregnating a woman.
(2.) The female urethra is separate from the clitoris.
(3.) A clitoris is not attached to organs in the male reproductive system.
(4.) The clitoris doesn't ejaculate semen.

I could go on forever, but I think people get the general idea.

This individual is only partly correct at best. I'm assuming this person is talking about fetal development. In the adult world, it makes no sense at all. A human fetus doesn't stop growing at eight weeks of pregnancy. We are far more complex than this.

The sex of the fetus is determined at conception. Some sperm are X and some are Y, and it boils down to which gets to the the egg first. The X or Y fuses with the egg. At a very early stage of human development, all cells of the embryo are essentially identical. It's basically the genetics which tell which cells to develop into what tissues, organs, etc. Karoytpe is possible even this early, but male and female embryos are identical with respect to internal and external genitalia until the seventh or eighth week of pregnancy.

The differentiation process is started for males by a gene on the Y chromosome known as the SRY-gene (Sex determining Region Y). When expressed, this gene initiates the correct biochemistry inside of a male fetus for him to develop male sex organs.

In the presence of SRY, the bipotential gonad develops into a testicle, which becomes apparent at six to seven weeks of development. In the absence of SRY, an ovary results.

I'm aware of intersex (rare disorders of sexual development). However, the majority of transgender identified individuals have NO actual DSD. DSD and transgender are NOT one and the same. We have covered this before on this blog. The vast majority of trans indentified individuals are either biological male or biological female with NO DSD. Some transsexual even have children. Many people with DSD are infertile.
