In the less than 4 years I have been doing this post, the average age for Trans Trenders has dropped by a decade. The hyper feminine backlash against feminism is to blame for the beginnings of this trend, but YouTube surely is to blame for spreading this murderous social disease among younger and younger females. As the DSM promotes the transition of children starting next month, unless something changes drastically, I fear imagining the ages of our Trans Trenders in a few short years.

  1. Heartbreaking, as usual. It depresses me greatly to see these young women being misled and ushered into a "lifestyle" that may cause them irreversible damage. Why does society hate women, especially lesbians, so damn much?

  2. It is noteworthy how some kids are catching up on criticism of the trans concept. ''Mason,'' awaiting her first ''shot'' of ''T,'' talking about her ''gender journey'':

''It's not that I feel like I was born in the wrong body. I want to put an emphasis on that. I feel like this is the right body that I have, it's just the female version of that body... I feel like I'm within myself just the wrong parts, wrong characteristics... and really the wrong hormones.''

Right, one is not ''born in the wrong body,'' just the body one is born in has the ''wrong'' parts, characteristics, and hormones. Slight blemishes which can easily be fixed with injections and sometime later on, the scalpel. For the longer she has been on ''T,'' the more her breasts will appear ''unnatural'' to her, like alien lumps of flesh, deforming the otherwise ''masculine'' body shape. Prior to these procedures, however, one needs to find a therapist who is willing to confirm one's self-diagnosis.

''Mason'': ''I talked to a therapist, from the beginning saying, 'look, I'm coming to you because I need my T-letter. We can talk about whatever but I'm coming to you in hopes that you will write this letter for me; if you [don't], then don't even bother seeing me.''

Sadly, this way of going about getting what she wanted worked. As we know only too well, it also works for girls younger than 19. Therapists are acting like shop assistants, doing their best to satisfy a customer. And if the customer isn't getting what she wants in one place, she can go somewhere else, can't she?
It is palpable how the internet is speeding the social disease called ''transitioning''. Those who fall prey to it have, like ''Mason,'' watched on Youtube and Tumblr ''tons of videos, tons of people's stories,'' that is, of other young women, before they suddenly know that they, too, want to transition ''asap''. It is nothing short of a disaster.

  3. Not just that, but the whole 'neurosexism' thing (men are good at math, women are good at talking) is still going strong despite feminists' efforts.

  4. Talking about what FTM's said online, I heard one saying on YouTube that she couldn't wait to go to the Dyke March to piss of the lesbians.
Something's really wrong, women don't need a male body to behave masculine. There are so many shades of grey, we can be what we wanna be.

Karin, this has been going on for years. A person would have to be either incredibly naive, dull and simple minded as a fence post, or living in an isolated cave somewhere not to realize that "T" along with transitioning is being pushed by the transgender community. Although "T" is a prescription drug, it's being socially promoted primarily via the internet.

"T" is for a psychiatric disorder which, whether we admit it or not, is far more subjective than an actual medical test carried out in a laboratory which is clearly quantifiable. If we asked twenty different therapists and psychiatrists what "gender identity disorder" meant, we probably would get twenty different answers. Moreover, it's impossible to completely separate "gender identity" from the culture in which one is raised and nurtured.

Through the internet and word of mouth, teenage girls learn where to find the right therapists who will give out "T" letters with little, if any, actual therapy. As Dirt and I have already mentioned, there are actual "online gender therapists" (Skype "gender therapists") who will write the "T" letters. Of course, people have to have a credit or debit card number for the online gender therapy.

Wouldn't it be strange if medications like insulin were just called "I", and people made videos of their first shot of "I". The first shot of "T" is viewed as some kind of special right of passage that has to be recorded in a video.

    *Google T and FTM....there 16,000,000 hits.

*Google the words "first shot of T".... 135,000 hits
(The first shot of a prescription drug for a psychiatric disorder called "gender dysphoria" or GID gets more hits on google than a first shot of insulin)
Google "first shot of insulin" 37,600 hits

*Google "One week on T" and there are 175,000 hits...
"One week on insulin".. 3,200 hits.

*Google the words "One Month on T" and there are 57,800 hits'
Google "One month on insulin" and there are only 486 hits

*Google "Six months on T" and there are 124,000 hits
Google "Six months on insulin"... 18,300 hits

The transgender community also promotes the use of breast binders even though they know full well that using breast binders can potentially deform the rib cage and cause other health problems. After all, it's constricting the rib cage and internal organs along with the breasts. This is being done to developing teenage female bodies.

  6. The following links aren't any of the ones that Dirt posted, but I thought that 13 year old FTMs were a bit too much. Where in heck do these 13 year old girls hear about testosterone, binders, and "top surgery"?

    "I'm 13 years old and I'm pre-everything."

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55NP848umqM

"Hey it’s Blake! I’m a 13 year old ftm in Michigan. I have a binder and my mom, grandma’s and friend’s support. I am currently trying to win over this incredibly cute girl in my band class. I’m pansexual but leans towards liking girls more than boys. I love the enviorment and the things it has to offer—-the trees, the water, the dirt, the animals, the rocks… hmu on tumblr: fallingtopieces19"

I wonder if 13 year old Blake and her mother knows that binders can mis-align the rib cage.

"My name is obviously Andy, and I am a 13 year old FtM transgender. This youtube account will be used to document my "transition", but since i'm young, it'll be used more to rant and express my opinion on trans* and sexuality topics. Enjoy."

Talking about "top surgery" and testosterone at age 13.

I'm a 13 year old transgender (ftm) and I was wondering if I could start taking T. is it dangerous in any way because I'm somewhat young? I just need to know as soon as possible.
    thanks.

-I hear that! How much does a 15 year old know about anything? Which is just another reason why it should be illegal for doctors to fuck up children's whole lives by giving them hormones and all that other nonsense.

  9. Where I live, the Netherlands, they can start at the age of 12 in the gender clinic. First therapy to find out if the diagnoses is correct. They get hormon blockers at age 14 and T at age 16.
The idea is to start as soon as possible to get the best results in the end.
First I thought it was a good thing and I encouraged it. But I changed my mind since I found out it's a trend and not a disorder in almost most cases.

I do believe that there are some girls who really have gender dysphora and they need help to adjust the body if they choose so. But in most cases we're only seeing trend followers who think it's cool to cross over. It's the new wave, the hip think to do.
Look at the attention they seek, they're broadcasting themselves a lot. Showing off with hair and muscles.

Does anybody know if the amount of males who become females is the same?

    @Big

As to "transitioning" being a trend, there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that it's being pushed and promoted by the transgender community. However, there is an ancient aspect or historical truth related to the act of female "transitioning". The mutilation of female bodies in one form or another is nothing new. Not only does "transitioning" radically alter healthy female genitals, breasts, and reproductive systems, it actually erases the very identity of female. In addition to erasing female identity, in some cases "transitioning" is also being used to erase gay and lesbian identity. We know this is going on, but people just don't want to admit it. Scientists and researchers have known for some time most gender non-conforming children, if left alone, grow up to be gay or lesbian.

One would think that a country such as the Netherlands which has seen more than its share of horrific human rights abuses and war would be more sensitive to the erasing of female identity as well as gay and lesbian identity.

The children who go straight from the puberty suppressing drugs followed by cross gender hormones, and then surgery at age 18 (16 in some countries) are for all practical purposes de-sexed human beings. I know this is going to sound rather crass and crude, but here goes. De-sexing farm and domestic animals has been going on for centuries. I never thought we would ever do this to humans, specifically children. That is, with the exception of the ghoulish experiments that the Third Reich carried out. I know I'm going to catch hell for this statement, but no one is ever going to convince me that the diagnosis of "gender identity disorder" in young children isn't problematic. Giving children puberty suppressing drugs for a psychiatric disorder seems so Orwellian to me. If cross gender hormones are given right after puberty suppressing drugs, fertility can be compromised. Adolescence is a normal part of human development. They are denied a normal part of human development because of a psychiatric diagnosis. Do these children even know what is being done to them? I seriously doubt it.

  13. I hear you April, you make sence.
You can say that we erase the female identity too easy in the Netherlands, but mind that it's the same with men who bocome women. We give them female identity, so I can't see your point on this one.

Sometimes I think that crossing over to the other gender is a way not to be gay. It can be homophobia. But on the other hand, some cross over and still are gay (transmen loving men).
I wonder if this have to do with hormones, because they do have a big influence.

There are little girls who act like boys and continue to tell that they're boys. Sometimes at the age of 4 or even younger. I do think gender dysphoria excists.

It's funny how you respond to our gender clinics. You state that the Dutch should know better due to our history and wars.
But it's because of our very liberal culture that we have such clinics. We're an openminded country, we legalized gay marriage as the first country, hookers and drugs. It's something I'm proud of.

I have nothing against the Netherlands, and I knew a dear elderly couple who were originally from the Netherlands. This woman was Jewish and she lost some of her relatives in the Holocaust. I have had delicious boterkoek and coffee with this delightful elderly woman. The Dutch are survivors who are, tough, practical, decent, and I generally applaud their tolerant society. Sometimes tolerance in and of itself is so glorified to the point that it masks or hides some rather unpleasant, compelling and profound hidden truths or realities.

Is this person suggesting that the state or government should give or assign a person female or male identity as it chooses? I thought nature did this in that we are all born male or female, black, white, short, tall, etc. If the state can assign female or male identity, then why can't the state also assign ethnic or racial identity as well? For example, if it's possible to surgically create a female where none existed before, why can't science and technology surgically create a black person or an Asian? Why can't people just choose their ethnic or racial identity, and if people aren't pleased being black, they why can't they surgically become a white person, or vice versa? If we lived in a world in which sexism and racism were non-existent, then this might make sense. However, no such world exists, and if we study history, no fantasy utopia has ever existed.

The mutilation of female bodies has a thousand plus year history, and because of an old technology called ultrasound there are 163 million missing girls from India and China. I find it difficult to believe that internalized misogyny doesn't play a role in the decision of some of these teenage girls to "transition". As to females "transitioning", I've always argued that it's impossible to clearly separate feelings of internalized misogyny and enforced sex based stereotypes from "gender dysphoria".

  16. As to sex reassignment surgery which, by the way, essentially amounts to extensive plastic surgery on one's genitals and years of an external source of hormones, I'm very pleased to know that tolerant and liberal loving Netherlands has something in common with Iran and the Ayatollah Khomeini.

Which country has the highest sex change surgery?

Thailand is #1 followed by Iran.

    http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Which_country_has_the_highest_sex_change_surgery

“Iran is #2 with most sex change operations funded by taxpayers money.

Ayatollah Khomeini approved the operations for "diagnosed transsexuals" 25 years ago and today the Iranian government pays up to 50% of the cost for those who have problems paying for it. Apparently they find this making sense although homosexuality is shunned because if you have the operation you are not technically attracted to your own sex and therefore is not gay."

    29 May 2012

“The founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, passed a fatwa in the 1980s allowing sex-change operations in the country.
Up until now, Iran's welfare system paid a small amount toward these operations but they are very costly.

Now health insurance companies are obliged to cover all costs.”
    Karen Zarindast reports.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-18258276
Being a gay man in Iran is a death sentence (lesbians get so many lashes on the back for the first offence, and death if caught twice). However, the government will help pay for sex reassignment surgery. In western countries, we are more civilized in that we use things like puberty suppressing drugs on our gay and lesbian children.

"In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at Columbia University."
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-483746/We-dont-gays-Iran-Iranian-president-tells-Ivy-League-audience.html

It's all about heteronormativity, or making people appear outwardly heterosexual, and in western countries we go about achieving this in more subtle ways.

This seems too young to me, and I seriously doubt if these children know exactly what is happening to them.

Aren't we making the following assumptions: (a.) the child is completely free from any parental, peer, or cultural influences, and (b.) children at this age have the mental capacity to decide or choose for themselves (c.) the diagnosis of "gender dysphoria" or GID is accurate. It’s a scientific fact that the pre-frontal cortex of the human brain which is sometimes called the judgment center of the brain isn’t fully developed until the early to mid-twenties.

”The prefrontal cortex, the part of the frontal lobes lying just behind the forehead, is often referred to as the “CEO of the brain.” This brain region is responsible for cognitive analysis and abstract thought, and the moderation of “correct” behavior in social situations. The prefrontal cortex takes in information from all of the senses and orchestrates thoughts and actions to achieve specific goals.1,2 This brain region gives an individual the capacity to exercise “good judgment” when presented with difficult life situations. Brain research indicating that brain development is not complete until near the age of 25, refers specifically to the development of the prefrontal cortex.”

    http://www.hhs.gov/opa/familylife/tech_assistance/etraining/adolescent_brain/Development/prefrontal_cortex/

I argue that these children lack the judgment to make informed decisions.

By the way, has there ever been a time in recorded history in which a normal stage of human development such as adolescence was intentionally delayed because of a psychiatric diagnosis? Moreover, after looking at the checkered past of psychiatry (lobotomies, over use of tranquilizers and other drugs, imprisonment of political prisoners etc.), how much credibility does psychiatry have? How do we go about quantifying "gender dysphoria"? After all, unlike a medical diagnosis with lab results, it's rather subjective in nature and can't be separated completely from culture. Heart disease or any other medical condition can be quantified through laboratory tests. In diagnosing "gender identity disorder" in twelve year old children, all we have to go by is what the twelve year old child says. How do we ferret out what is "gender dysphoria" as opposed to peer, family, or cultural influences? There is no way to do this, especially with young children.

  18. Anonymous, I see nothing wrong with fertility in itself being compromised. I believe that reproduction is a morally gray area that should be discontinued. There is no need to create people who didn't ask to exist in order for them to suffer and die. If we were going to breed, we should at least create a better place for our children. This planet is NOT habitable for intelligent and empathetic people. It's an embarrassment.
