Between the high rates of suicide attempts, suicides, heart dis/ease and mental breakdowns requiring hospitalization that the trans disorder brings about, I can only look at these young women with a heavy heavy heart and tears in my eyes. Meanwhile the Male Medical Machine views them with dollar signs in theirs.

All females are beautiful just the way they are. Society puts an incredible amount of pressure on young girls to look a certain way, wear the coolest clothes, etc. These girls are perfect just the way they are.

"From what I understand, the high suicide rates are for those who have not yet transitioned ...

There are conflicting studies on the issue of whether or not transitioning actually improves the overall quality of life, morbidity, mortality, etc. Of course, we do know that surgery and years of cross gender hormones comes with some risk. I have a radical idea. Why not do all we can possibly do to make sure all girls feel good about themselves, and work to eliminate the pressures put on young women to conform to societal expectations of how women and men should look.

  5. I think if you actually really cared about these people you would be there to pick up the pieces - not there to rip them to pieces!

I came out a butch dyke 32 years ago and I do not babble on about my vagina - breasts love handles because I don't use that language most women don't. I make ref to my fanny or my c**t. So beating up FTMs about what they call their body parts is really very purile. Names for personal parts or activites it exactly that. Personal! For example I don't defacate I sh*t or pooh. Likewise vagina ... no ...fanny or c**t.

I think you obviously have a desire to help people. Sadly, as old as you are, you have yet to learn that you catch more bees with honey than vinegar.

Also this preoccupation with "male gaze" "unpacking identity" "otherness" etc is really talk of a deluded academic. Butler wrote some really interesting stuff however to babble on about it in your own life and hold it up as a mantle shows you don't really have a lot of human realtionships with people.

People are people. Simple! Society is people. Rules of a society are made by people. To change society you have to change people. Honey/vinegar ...get it?

Why did I use vinegar? Because lovely I'm illustrating a point. My vinegar don't make you want to change.

Last point ... you could maybe earn cash writing ... however not the drivel you currently churn out. Far to many cliches and stock phrases. It comes across as a long exercise in how hard you have worked and not natural talent and more to the point quoting bits and pieces of your random favourite literature does not show intelligence - rather it's just bookish which ... is often pretty stupid.
    lots of love

  6. Honey or vinegar...can't decide

"So beating up FTMs about what they call their body parts is really very purile."

Are people supposed to apologize for saying vaginas are vaginas, and breasts are a naturally part of the female anatomy? Why can't we say vagina, breasts, vulva, labia, or clitoris? I call my clitoris a clit or clitoris not a c**t, and I call my vagina a vaginia not a c**t. I make love to a clitoris and vagina. I don't make love to a c**t. Men usually call female vulvas c**nts.

    "For example I don't defacate I sh*t or pooh. Likewise vagina ... no ...fanny or c**t. "

I don't understand this sentence. I say sh*t like everyone else, but what does that have to do with anything?

"Sadly, as old as you are, you have yet to learn that you catch more bees with honey than vinegar."

I'm trying to understand the vinegar and honey talk, but I admit it is difficult. For example, when talking about all the various forms of mutilation of the female body that have repeatedly occurred throughout history, are we supposed to talk honey or vinegar? Should I go with the honey, or should I go with the vinegar? I can't decide. I'm sorry, but there is no honey sweet way of describing female genital mutilation. What is so honey sweet about the practice of breast ironing? I could go on forever, but none of this feels anything like honey to me. Perhaps people don't want such unpleasant things thrust into their faces, so it's better to attract people's attention with honey.

As to FTMs and their body parts, I wish all women could love every part of their anatomy. Wouldn't that be sweet just like honey? It sounds good to me. That is about all the honey talk I can muster in one day.

I can only speak for myself and my inability to speak, think, or feel like honey. I don't speak for Dirt or anyone else.

"It comes across as a long exercise in how hard you have worked and not natural talent and more to the point quoting bits and pieces of your random favourite literature does not show intelligence - rather it's just bookish which ... is often pretty stupid."

Was this sentence directed towards Dirt, me, or this blog in general. Again, I can only speak for myself not Dirt or anyone else. I don't believe anyone in this little blog in cyberspace even pretends to be a professional writer. If I had to make my living by writing, I would no doubt starve. My educational background is more in science not literature. Math and science are clear and precise. The best writers inspire us, but they don't always have the best ideas. In my opinion, keen critical thinking skills are far more valuable than writing skills. I refuse to cast aside my critical thinking skills and judgment for some pollyannish, sugar coated nonsense. If I have to wallow in honey and spout off saccharine sweet prose to attract people, I just can't go there. Sorry.

  7. Ok …. read slowly and think please as you have difficulty understanding what is being said.
"Are people supposed to apologize for saying vaginas are vaginas, and breasts are a naturally part of the female anatomy?"
ANSWER: No. However, they don't have to call it a vagina. If they want to call it something else that's fine. it's fine because words for personal parts are that ... personal words for personal parts. Hence people use personal words that they can relate to. Stop think and when you understand read the next part.
Words like vagina are fine to use. However, in the heat of the moment things like” will you engulf me with your vagina” are generally not a turn on. Although, sisters from the 70s might have said that was not the point.
“I'm trying to understand the vinegar and honey talk, but I admit it is difficult. Now then … slowly. Read this bit slowly. You might feel anger at the way women are transmogrified and pinned down by sexual and gender stereotyping all over the world. Moreover, in my opinion, it is noble to take a stand against this. However, it has to be said, it is not really very wise to offend people along the way. It’s like when Bush wanted to have a war on terror. To have such a war is to make your terror bigger than their terror which essentially then fills the world up with more terror not less. Think!
Likewise to repeatedly get angry at people who are going through radical changes that are at the core of their personalities is not really doing you any favours or changing anything. Perversely, you are actually maintaining the status quo of binary opposition and as any feminist should ( if she is able to understand what she has read should) be able to tell you is … it is the grey between the black and white that gets the changes. The grey is the honey. The grey is diplomacy. The grey in a war zone stops people being blown up or away from firing squads. I get that the Patriarchs’ world is making you angry but is shouting down vulnerable people the way to go? It makes you seem bullish and churlish. It creates divide not dialogue. It causes siege mentality. Siege – where you bury yourself in and stick your fingers in your ears and shout loudly, repeatedly that you are not listening. It goes on and on and on until the UN step in. Think.
I’d like to close with this thought. I’d really like whoever I have been writing at think … I know you say you’re not dirt however you write just like her!
Now, the most basic premise of feminism is really lovely and like the most basic premise of all world religions combined. For feminism the premise is equality. Equality means regardless of anything all people should be treated completely equally. The focus of feminism is after all to encourage growth and at no costs to be reductive of others. So sister…. I ask you to think about honey and think about vinegar. If you have to use vinegar then perhaps it’s better directed at plastic surgeons and the honey is perhaps better for those who would like a shoulder. Think.
    Lots of love Vinegar (honey)

  8. Comments On Video Of Cody age 15

Fifteen year old Cody looks so young and she is already starting to use the words FTM and “transitioning”. I pose this question to the reader. Do fifteen year old girls really understand “transitioning” (surgery and testosterone)? What does this fifteen year old girl think "transitioning" is? In the video, Cody is wearing what looks like a flowered blouse and her reddish dyed hair is falling over her face. She appears to be like any other teenage girl her age, but the ease at which he tosses out the word “transitioning” is shocking to me.

In the video she states that "I am FTM" for her gender identity. I hate to burst the trans illusionist bubble of make believe, but many fifteen year old teens have no idea who they are. Has anyone ever told this young woman that it is a honor to be female? Or, has anyone ever told this young woman that she will never be completely male? Has anyone ever told this young woman that females are beautiful just the way they are?

Fifteen year old girls named Cody who have no idea about "transitioning". They toss the word around as if it's magic.
