  2. I'd really like to see Dirt dismantle some of the myths from the ADULTS in the trans community. There's a load of popular ones out there. They are the ones these young girls are repeatedly listening to.

Plus I think these Trans Trending post bring the wrong kind of attention to this blog.

    ReplyDelete
  3. The last 3 commenters couldnt be more naive.

Why don't you all shut up. Grow up. Educate yourselves.

If you truly believe that ALL of these people dirt posts are truly transgender, and do not wish to reap the "benefits" of the youtube "--" months on T fad, you've got another thing coming.

These people are an embarrassment. There is no need to publicly "document" your "transition". This is all apart of the fun for them. While the rest of us suffer and are being picked apart for who we truly are...these people pretend to be transgender. Hence, the trans trending. A label that, even I, agree with. Because it is accurate.

The shit show youtube channels, the shoulder cut off pictures flexing nonexistent muscles, the sudden chopping off of the hair to appear "male"... ALL apart of the trendiness that the tragedy of being born with transgenderism has become. We exist. We do. But these people...please. I beg you all to see through this. We are not all doing "**~*FTM intro vids~**~" and so on. This is more serious than that nonsense.

Dirt, especially you, I beseech you to recognize the difference and recognize that we do exist. We are an incredibly small small minority that has absolutely NOT just all of a sudden grown into a gigantic community of people. We are still a small "phenomena".

All of it strikes me as a minstrel show. These kids make a mockery of our struggles. And I resent that.

That is just my personal feeling. I've had a desire to address this for about a decade now.

  4. When I said "the last 3 commenters" I was talking about the idiots saying

there go my ftm brothers and all of that nonsense. DIrt must have deleted them. They deserved to be deleted.

    Just to clarify.

  5. I said that to be sarcastic to the fact that dirt finds it nessasary to post the pics. We live in a computer age, kids blog and make youtube videos, even if they arnt trans. Its great for people in small towns to see that they are not alone and to talk to people like them, and it gives you a relistic idea of what T is going to do.

  6. We need to do a better job of supporting young butch women. All they get is shit from the lesbian community. So, why are we then surprised when they go somewhere where their experience is validated. Sadly, this validation is really twisted and leads to a denial of self and an embracing of anything that will result in positive attention from some adult somewhere.

  7. While I agree more needs to be done for Butches, that isnt going to help any of these girls (trans trenders) who arent Butch.

  8. (not everyone who posts here and is opposed to transition is 'butch'- just a reminder)

    ReplyDelete
  9. And when you're a kid, and your identity is still forming, where are you going to find us butches who have developed comfort with who they are?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I find it humorous that you sit around and stalk kids online because you don't agree with who they are. you are just as bad as the thousands of people who don't agree with you being lesbian. I think you should focus your energy on something other than putting down boys for who they are and what they can't change or choose.

    ReplyDelete
  11. haha, 'boys'- now that's humorous!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Who are you to say who is and who isn't butch?
Maybe looking like the army guy on Avatar makes you butch I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  13. They can't change or choose? You're probably a kid too.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think transitioning is tragic and misguided.
I also think Dirt's definition of 'butch' is a bit too rigid.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It isnt "my" definition. Butches are what we are.

  16. No one can classify anyone else. Everyone has the right to label themseleves or choose not to use labels. Everyone has the right to be comfortable. If they choose to use testerone and cut of their breast then so be it. Just because some people do not find trans people attractive does not mean others don't. Just because someone finds a trans person attractive does not mean they have a trans fetish or something is wrong with them. Their is still the argument that lesbians who are attracted to butch lesbians actually crave to be with a man but are frightened to. That is false of course because anyone can be considered genuily attractive to someone else.

  17. If this is a male free zone and all posts made by men are going to be deleted then post that on the Blogs front page where you ban 'cis' and 'intersex'.

I hate it when my posts that agree with Dirt are deleted. I can only imagine it is because I am 'male'.

I'm interested in this theory that 'everyone has the right to be comfortable.'
Also, I'm assuming you're the 'RN' from before from your baffling spelling.

  19. Seriously? How in the hell can you call yourself intelligent? You are a disgrace to the name of lesbian. How freaking dare you call me a girl. I'm a man, and I don't give a rat's ass what you think. You disgust me; you really do. "Live and let live." What the hell is wrong with you that you can't do that? Get an effing life, and maybe you'll find better things to do with your time.
Not to mention, did you ever stop to consider what would happen if the wrong people saw those photos? You could get some of us hurt or killed. Or perhaps that's what you want.
You are a sick individual, and I do hope it comes to bite you in your hardly-human ass.

hating requires energy. Plus getting upset that the likes of dirt removes your posts is giving them power. Dirt is nothing out from behind a keyboard.

Just because you think you're a man does not mean that everybody else does. Thinking (and even hormones and surgery) does not make falsehood into truth.

    ReplyDelete
  23. and 10:55
if you fear for your life if that truth comes out it's probably not best to document your deception online.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @ 8:35/8:37

Yes, I realize that documenting my transition online is no longer wise, nor is it in any way safe. I have removed my videos, and will no longer be posting any. I honestly don't care for documenting my private life for the world to see.
Also, I mentioned in my fist comment that I don't give a rat's ass what anyone else thinks about my gender; I am a man. I do not think it. I am. "...does not make falsehoods into truth."
Think what you like. Saying things like that provides undeniable evidence to your painful lack of education on the subject.
However, I will not disagree with some of the earlier posts, saying that being transgender seems to be somewhat of a fad. I have noticed this; there are those who find themselves lost in life, and turn to things like being transgender in a desperate attempt to either fit in somewhere, or simply for attention. As a transgender person myself, I find these people to be rather disgusting; just as Dirt disgraces the name of lesbian, these "trenders" disgrace the name of transgender.
Though it may come as a shock, I would like to apologize for my earlier cattiness; my previous comment was posted in the heat of anger, and was much to hot-headed. Regardless, freedom of speech is what it is, thus this blog will likely exist for a very long time, no matter how many people report it. Though Dirt seems to be rather unintelligent when it comes to matters that are transgender-related, she does seem to be smart enough to avoid doing/posting anything that would get her blog shut down.
That said, I really do hope all of you "haters" realize someday precisely how uneducated you really are.

    ReplyDelete
  25. "That said, I really do hope all of you "haters" realize someday precisely how uneducated you really are."

Seems to be the insult of choice, claiming that anyone who dares criticise the trans fantasy is uneducated.

What is uneducated is talking about the brain-sex theory of transsexualism as if it were a rigorously proven scientific fact, rather than just one possible interpretation of individuals experiences and inner feelings. Indeed, given how little we know about the link between brain structure and the individual that arises from that developing brain, it is difficult to see how it could ever be proven.

So, just as some people find it useful to believe that their homosexuality is innate and biologically determined, so some find it useful to believe that their inner conflicts arise from a mismatch between their brain sex and their chromosomal sex. But that's all it is -- a belief structure. And like many belief structures, some people get really nasty when you question their beliefs.

Just because you feel or believe something very strongly doesn't make it true.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ever think for a minute that maybe these girls don't know what's wrong and never did? There's an awful lot of grey area when it comes to sexuality and gender association. Just because you were able to understand and realize what your issues are does not mean that everyone else has that luxury. They are young and trying to figure things out. They finally found something they identify with best, and you, those who should know better than most how it feels to be harrassed daily by both the world and your own self image are hating on them? Why not try to help them like you would have liked someone to help you instead?

And take down their pictures. I know full well that you didn't ask any of them to use their images, so get em down. Now. I will report you.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @BadDyke:
I do not recall claiming anything even remotely related to the "brain sex theory" that you mentioned. You are correct; it is not scientifically proven. It's exactly that: a theory. The same as Darwin's Theory of Evolution is a theory. Darwin's Theory of Evolution is missing only one crucial step in the chain. Were it not for the absence of said step, evolution would cease to be a theory, and would become a proven fact.
The "brain sex theory" may not be anything like that. It is missing a lot more than just one step. I honestly don't have a scientific explanation for what it means to be transgender. I feel how I feel, and I can't change that. I can't change the fact that I struggle and suffer when forcing myself to live as female, and yet feel liberated and gain the ability to live much more freely when living as male.
When I said, "That said, I really do hope all of you "haters" realize someday precisely how uneducated you really are," I was not referring to the education received via schooling. For all I know, several of said "haters" could well have a Ph.D. or two. I am referring to being thoroughly educated on transgender-related issues.
On any topic, I do not believe it is fair to debate or argue said subject without sufficient knowledge to support or counter what is being said. By no means am I calling any of you stupid; I have no right to say something like that, as I don't know any of you in the slightest.

  28. As its been made clear that scientific studies on brains are well into their infancy, move on or your comment will be deleted.

Forgive me for sounding like a know-it-all but it's kind of important to make a distinction here. A "theory" in the scientific sense, basically means a description of proven facts. Such as the theory of gravity. We know gravity exists, the theory just explains how. The brain-sex thing is not completely sound, so it would be a hypothesis, not a theory.

    ReplyDelete
  30. @3:07
You don't sound like a know-it-all. Actually, you're quite right. But doesn't the word "theory" have more than one meaning? "A coherent group of tested general propositions, commonly regarded as correct." Also, "a proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural and subject to experimentation, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact." Synonyms for the second meaning include idea, notion, hypothesis, and postulate. So yes, you're right. But the word theory does fit, to a point. Though, when using both meanings of any word in a single explanation, one should seek out a synonym to better clarify each word and separate them more efficiently.

  31. "You are correct; it is not scientifically proven. It's exactly that: a theory. The same as Darwin's Theory of Evolution is a theory."

Misunderstanding of theory (and evolution) as others have pointed out.

"I feel how I feel, and I can't change that. I can't change the fact that I struggle and suffer when forcing myself to live as female...."

Except what do YOU mean by 'living as a female'? It's acting as if that phrase has some meaning, that there is some internal difference between living as a female as compared to living as a male. You have to believe in all that gender nonsense for that statement to make sense.

"and yet feel liberated and gain the ability to live much more freely when living as male." Sounds much more like female gender stereotypes are crap, when I live outside of them, that's better. Well, SAME for the rest of us females mate..............

The point being there is an alternative interpretation of your experience, I think you're just not willing to look at it that way.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Why can't we just let them be who they are? You believe being a woman and lesbian, also butch, is the way for you. Why not let them be boys? Sure, it's not the everyday normal and it's even different from being gay or lesbian, but they want what everyone else wants. They want to be themselves, be happy, find the one they can spend their life with.
Why should it matter if they are fmt or mtf? They could be a mtf but find them self lesbian, or ftm but be gay. I don't think they are misguided, and if you think they are messed up because of something; why not ask them? After all, that's what blogs are for, finding out things from a more personal/opinionated view. At least make the effort to understand before you judge, otherwise you are no better than the people who stereotype gays, lesbians, and especially the butch girls.

I think it is right that people need to be exposed to different types of support when dealing with gender issues. There's a lot of labels and definitions that confuse people and actually hurt people. "What am I? What's my gender expression really like?" etc. For some they don't have this problem but for those who do...they can easily find support in a trans community because honestly there's no other place that shows support for people who struggle whether they are butch, femme, andro, etc. etc.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Forgot to add...

That's why its easier or quicker for some to find a home within the trans or genderqueer community because you get this sense of "freedom" from the gender jacket but all the while dealing with even MORE labels, even MORE confusion, and being even more PISSED off and misunderstood. Its more about what female is "NOT" versus what female could "BE." Which can be a slap in the face to feminism.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Being raised as female and believing that you are not an actual female is based upon what you believe being female is. Being male is based upon what you believe being female is not plus your ideas of manhood/maleness based upon being raised as a female. Totally different from being raised as male from the get go.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Queer/trans community is conformist and conservative, which is why it has been allowed to prosper.

    Feminists, dare to be different.

  38. I am all for feminism, and you have a right to speak your mind on the subject of Transmen and Transwomen, but why do you feel the need to post photos of people on YouTube who claim to transition? It is a rather unsightly and rude practice that singles out individuals in a manner that is just as insulting as a blog posting photos of supposed homosexuals designed to isolate and degrade individuals.

  39. Here are two people from Youtube who are girls and are FTM. One of them is claiming to be genderless, if their is such thing as genderless queer.
