  6. Anonymouses: If you're sterling examples of the FTM community, I'd say you're suffering from testosterone poisoning.

  7. To Anon @ 8:50 pm...Uh, was that necessary??? I mean really!
This person is no spokesperson for the FTM community by any means. It goes to show how childish someone can be and how one idiot can ruin it for us all...Nice going pal!

  8. It's funny, Dirt... I pretty much disagree with everything you and your cohort have to say, and I mostly read this blog because like a car accident I just can't look away.

But in "person" (on youtube) there's a real sincerity and vulnerability in your eyes. I also could really relate to most of what you said. Funny disconnect... the woman in the video is someone I wouldn't mind meeting for coffee and talking about all this stuff. The woman who writes and manages this blog is someone I hope to never meet. Odd dissonance.

  11. Thank you, Dirt!

Perhaps it's a basic human trait to want to be able to identify with other humans who are like ourselves. I remember feeling as a young person: "I'm not like these people over here (women) and yet I'm not really like these people over here (men), so who am I like??" I could never perform femininity; on the other hand, I didn't identify with all the macho stuff either. I think it was fortunate that I grew up when feminism was re-emerging and dyke communities were strong. Also, the hippie and punk eras were looser about gender roles. I think that the kids today are confronted with MORE gender stereotypes today than there were in the 60's, 70's and
'80s. I do believe this will change, though, and it's people like you who will help things to change.

  12. Brandon,

No worries, I know this is simply a single nutcase, doubt if they're trans at all.

  13. Anon@7:34,

Shame on you for thinking a person is nothing more than the sum of a blog.

  15. DM,

I suspect todays gender roles are as strict as they were in the 50's, only instead of women's only options of being either a wife/mother or a secretary, women today are confined between the hyper feminine model of slut and whore.

  16. Dirt, what do you expect??? I don't know you other than what you say on your blog! How could I? I was giving you a compliment and you totally rejected it. I'm fucking done with you. How can I know you other than how you post and write and vlog??

  17. The dissonance is all in your head, Anon 7:34, you'll be a happier, healthier person when you realize that.

There is more to people then what you see on the net. What happens here is a very small fraction of what happens in the rest of ones life.

Your comment was incredibly patronizing. You refer to Dirt and her "cohort" as if we were all part of some amorpheous entity that you draw conclusions about. You act shocked that someone has more aspects to their life and their personality beyond your shallow view of them. Do not expect a kudo for deigning to compliment someone you hold in low regard.

  19. How would I know ANYTHING about you other that what you post on your blogs???

  20. Unless you live on another planet where humans do not exist, its common sense that people are multi-dimensional.
