Transmen FTMs-Hormone Therapy, Body Dysphoria and Cancer
As mentioned in a previous post I have been gathering information with regards to trans(men), testosterone and cancer. I appreciate the help some of you have provided regarding this matter, keep it coming. In gathering this info one particular stands out, body dysphoria. Even in cases where testosterone could not be 100% proven at fault of the trans(male)'s cancer, what was clear is their continued body dysphoria was. So despite the medical community doling out testosterone as a "cure" for gender/body dysphoria, what is glaringly obvious is that it is NOT working, but why should it when the diagnosed problem lies in the brain and NOT the body!
There is more and more evidence that hormone therapy as a means of treating gender/body dysphoria works at best short term, long term it seems for most trans persons the dysphoria returns. Based on info I've read and some provided by loved ones of trans(men) it is returning at a much higher state of dysphoria. While that is problematic in and of itself (and I will do a single post on that soon), there is a much greater problem than dysphoric discomfort, there is a greater problem when that pathological discomfort affects seeking help for potential cancer related issues!
If anyone has info regarding the continued or returned presence of gender/body dysphoria among trans(men) after "T" please comment or email me at dirtywhiteboi67@yahoo.com I feel strongly this also needs to be included in the Truth about Testosterone, Transmen and Cancer post.
thanks
