Two Womens Studies Positions Being Pimped out on Trans Spaces

If you or any WOMAN you know is looking and qualified for either position, please apply! It is HIGHLY important that these positions be filled by woman and not men pretending to be women or women pretending to be men. We've all seen what happens when trans(women) and trans(men) occupy Women's Studies, they are immediately turned into "gender", "queer" or "trans" studies and more opportunities to educate young women on feminist/radical feminist issues are lost.

  1. @Dirt, by the way, can you do an update about the lgbtqi program coordinator position at Vanderbilt (http://www.vanderbilt.edu/lgbtqi/contact.php) which was filled and givne to this foreigner trans-guy TJ Jourian whereas it was before a job position held by an american lesbian woman (Sarah Benanti: http://www.vanderbilt.edu/lgbtqi/images/sarah.jpg)?

What is the position of Nora Spencer, the woman who is the director, of this center at Vanderbilt ?

Why has she given this position to a guy and removed lesbian women from LGBTQI Vanderbilt ?

Can you someone ask her by email: nora.spencer@vanderbilt.edu or directly at TJ Jourian: tj.jourian@vanderbilt.edu ?

  3. Anon,

Will take me a day or two to put a post together, but I did find out Nora Spencer is "queer" and thats a quote from her. No need to ask why she appointed a "man" for the position now is there.

  4. If they say they are queer, they won't be hiring lesbian feminists or lesbians any day soon. Queer is the tip off!

  5. Turtle,

As a lesbian, if I hear the word "queer" not only is it a tip off for me, I haul ass the other way!

  6. We have been stupid in the first place to accept a mix of sexual orientation (LGB) and gender identity (T) activisms. Those are completely different...
It led us to accept the "Queer brown bag". Queer can not be defined by sexual orientation or by gender identity...Anyone can be queer.
This woman you mention Dirt, maybe she is just straight and thanks to this "queer magic wand", she was suddenly in a position of power on the Lesbian community and what she did ?

she removed the only lesbian coordinator at the newly created Vanderbilt LGBTQI center...

  7. YEAH in that I agree.. if they say they're 'queer' I respond, "I'm not queer, I'M A DYKE!"

P.S. I DO hope that they get two biofemales, hopefully one a Lesbian/Dyke to teach..Madison Wisconsin from what I've heard is one last Lesbian and Feminist oriented hangout, vis a vis the college.

Today I was on the Castro, and of course saw a bunch of gay guys, and several straight couples or faghag types with gay men, but nary a Dyke/Dyke bunch or Dyke couple to be found, except us...
I rarely go, but for the U.S. most visible Gayborhood, the Dykes are sadly gone.

  8. Came across this : http://naspa.org/programs/online/genderism.cfm

So you have to PAY 300 $ to hear this TJ trans-guy ?

Transgenderism is definitely a business !
